One more completely dry day ahead today before a weather pattern shift this weekend{/h2}
High pressure will remain in control of the weather today. Gray skies and overcast conditions this morning across the area will turn to mostly cloudy skies in the afternoon. Daytime highs will continue to hover near 50 degrees. Tonight, overcast weather ahead with a chance of rain on the way. Low temps will dip to near 39 degrees.
Friday looks rainy in the valleys; with mountain snow in the Cascades near 3500 feet (most mountain passes will see accumulation 2"-7")
WINTER RETURNS: As chilly air arrives in the upper levels on late Saturday and early Sunday- we'll see a shift in the weather pattern. Snow showers are possible all the way to the valley floor - with flurries or a winter mix late Saturday night or early Sunday. Accumulations are looking minor at best- as Sunday turns dry and cold. A cold snap of about 3 to 4 days is ahead on Sunday through Wednesday as highs will and lows will be running about 10 to 15 degrees below normal.
